What is TBRCIT?

The Tampa Bay Regional Critical Incident Team, Inc. (TBRCIT) 501(C)(3) was organized in 1986 to offer first responders/emergency service workers in the Tampa Bay area a comprehensive, multi-component, peer-driven, organized crisis intervention response for the reduction and control of the harmful aspects of stress as a result of a critical incident.

Our Team includes over one hundred members representing law enforcement, fire fighters, rescue personnel, communications and forensic technicians, detention personnel, clergy, therapy canines and mental health professionals. 

Agency representatives include: Dade City Police Department, Florida Highway Patrol, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Manatee County Emergency Communications Center, Pasco County Emergency Communications, Pasco County Fire Rescue, Pasco Sheriff’s Office, Plant City Fire Rescue, Plant City Police Department, St Petersburg Fire and Rescue, St Petersburg Police Department, Tampa Fire Rescue, Tampa International Airport Police Department, Tampa Police Department, Temple Terrace Fire Department, Temple Terrace Police Department, Treasure Island Police Department, US Courts/Pretrial Services, USF Police Department.

The TBRCIT has responded to numerous additional agencies throughout Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Manatee, Hernando and Citrus counties, as well as other areas of Florida as a result of natural disasters.
